On the day of September 22nd, the Ontario University Fair made its annual three-day appearance in Toronto. Over 130,000 students and parents from across the region gathered in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to obtain information regarding post-secondary education options in the province.
Each of the 21 universities present had representatives from a variety of faculties who were eager to provide guidance to the secondary students. In addition to one-on-one discussion, participants had the opportunity to attend general information sessions regarding each school’s unique features. Alison Borch, a grade 12 student at St. Augustine CHS, quite enjoyed the fair as she “felt much more confident going into [her] post-secondary applications, due to the personalized guidance that [she] earned today”. Overall, the Ontario University Fair was a hit amongst many. So much so, that St. Augustine CHS will be hosting their very own post-secondary information nights on Wednesday, October 4th and 11th at 7:00 PM. We look forward to seeing our Titans there!
