Nine buses, approximately fifty cabins, and over thirty tables, all goin’ loca to become the best. Marshmallows on Monday, Tango on Tuesday, and a warm welcome back on Wednesday. Muskoka Woods was filled with fun and competitive events, that helped students bond and create friendships!

On September 18- September 20, the grade nine students at St. Augustine embarked on their adventure to become closer as a group. Through team-building events using marshmallows on the first night, the cabin groups of Muskoka broke the ice to form better relationships. It was a fierce competition that night for the tallest-standing marshmallow tower! After more intense team-building games, the grade nines got to simmer down, perform and have fun at the annual campfire!

Full of risk-taking activities, the following day was filled with anticipation as the Monopoly madness and tango time slowly arrived. The new Titans showed their competitive side through various games lead by the Muskoka leaders. Money was thrown, members were arrested, and points were counted, as the Monopoly champions were revealed. The excitement never left as everyone awaited the dance. The night ended off on a high note as everyone left feeling closer.

Concluding the retreat with one final activity and a liturgical celebration, the grade nine students departed Muskoka Woods. Although they started off as separate groups, they came together as a team of titans, goin’ loca at Muskoka!
