According to FIFA, 265 million people play soccer worldwide Now, they can add 16
more as St. Augustine CHS restarts their soccer team for the 2017-2018 season.
After a prolonged duration, deprived of the joy of soccer; Ms. Chiaravalloti has taken the
initiative to be a teacher administrator for the team. Along with community coaches, they form the leadership of the soccer team.
As of Thursday, October 12, 2017; the team has played 6 games. They have a record of
1-1- 4, 1 win, 1 tie and 4 loses. Although they are having a rough start, this is their inauguration season. Let’s cheer on our boys as they play the 2 remaining regular season games and the playoffs!

Grade 10 team member Jeremy S. has stated “The soccer team gives me the opportunity to play my favourite sport with my friends. We make plays and work collaboratively; these teammates are not just people that I play with. We are tight and that’s what sets us apart from others.” Although the season has already commenced, we encourage all interested students to try out next year!
We are always proud of our boys, and we wish them the best for the rest of their season!
