Room 111 stirred with excitement as St. Augustine’s Engineering Club blasted off its first official meeting after school on October 6th. The executives of the club introduced themselves as everyone gathered around the worktable. The members listened attentively as they were given a brief introduction to the club and a detailed run down on all the prospective engineering activities that would occur during the school year. Gasps filled the air as the discussion lead to the peak moment of the summit; the goal of purchasing a personal 3-D printer kit for the club. The following week on October 13th, the first project of building a glider was announced. Bernoulli’s Principle was re-told by the executives, to inspire and give students ideas about their designs (including which materials to incorporate, dimensions, etc.). Engineering Club looks forward to iconic and monumental engineering Fridays through the fusion of education with creativity!
