Debate is back at St. Augustine! With arguments of steel and weapons of words, St. Augustine’s debaters will change all minds and sway all hearts. Formerly known as Debate Club, they are switching gears and going competitive, becoming St. Augustine’s first official debate team.

Tryouts took place in the beginning of October and since then, a new team has been formed. This team includes both junior and senior debaters, ranging from grades nine to twelve.

On November 26, 2017, Debate Team will be participating in their very first competition at the Pro Con Debating Forum, facing off with debaters from other schools. Be sure to cheer on your debate team, for they plan on taking on the world—the world of debate.
