The audience was silent, patiently waiting for the performance to start. With expectations climbing, the curtains rose and St. Augustine put on a dazzling showstopper. St. Augustine could not be prouder of its drama students!

On Wednesday February 28th, students from Grade 10-12 hopped on a bus to Pierre Elliott Trudeau to show off what St. A’s is made of. The students performed a play written by 11th graders, Karinna Adams and Sophia Campetilli called, Bottled Up.

Katlynn, a student in charge of lighting, controlling who goes under the spotlight, was asked why she joined. She responded, “Because I wanted to be a part on something and I never been part of a play, I am a person who is willing to help out.”

The students won and will be moving up to regionals.  Everyone is excited and proud of their performance, including Katlynn. “It felt good, I knew that our school worked really hard to make this play that Sophia and Karina wrote the best it could be. I think they did an amazing job writing the play and after the performance, I knew that the actors, ensemble, lights and sound crew just blew the judge away with the performance.”

Now as they await regionals, the drama crew are ramping up their skill sets ready to shine among the stars.
