Can you imagine running four or more kilometers several times a week and then being selected to compete against others students? St. Augustine’s Cross Country team gives their all in training to be the best and quickest athlete they can be. On October 10th, they were put to the test at the annual Cross Country meet where multiple schools participated in this exhausting event.
The para race was an exceptional three kilometers; Grade 9’s ran four kilometers; Grade 10’s five kilometers; Grade 11’s and 12’s ran almost six kilometers. Those who ran exceptionally well will be participating on October 25th at the YRAA (York Region Athletic Association) where they will be pushed to the extremes.
Those who committed to this well-spirited team represented our school well at the event and those who made it to the YRAA, will undoubtedly do the same. Ms. Ferrante trained the team amazingly well, just as she has done in the years before.
