With a friendly smile, St. Augustine welcomes Mrs. Penney to our school this year! She introduced herself with excitement and trust in our school, and will be a new addition to the Titan family. To get to know her more, we asked her a few questions!
What school were you previously at?
“I was most recently a V.P. at Jean Vanier CHS and prior to that a V.P. at St. Joan of Arc CHS.”
How are you finding St. Augustine so far?
“I am finding St. Augustine to be a very welcoming place. It’s a busy school filled with staff and students who truly care and want to protect the amazing school that they have.”
Was the adjustment difficult?
“Although making a change can be difficult because you always miss the students and staff from your previous school, the adjustment has been fairly seamless. My experience as an Administrator allows me to feel comfortable in my role and I am really appreciating the short commute from home!”
How were the Titans in welcoming you to our school?
“I have to say that each and every Titan that I have encountered has welcomed me warmly! The teachers, support staff, my Administration team and most importantly, the students have in no way have treated me as a stranger. I feel like that long lost cousin who you have never met but are thrilled to get to know!”
What are you most excited for this school year at St A’s?
“I am most excited this year to get to know the students and to gain a greater understanding of what makes this beautiful school tick! St. A’s has a wonderful reputation within our board and every day I get to uncover another reason as to why that reputation is so well earned.”
We are so excited and grateful that Mrs. Penney is a part of our school community! Although the transition between can be tough, we commend her for her professionalism, and to our Titans for their warm welcome. We give our best to our new Vice Principal, Mrs. Penney!
