An overwhelming victory took place last Wednesday and at top stood the senior girls’ basketball team from St. Augustine! A great showing from the team to continue to succeed after placing 3rd during the tournament on Friday, September 27th. I decided to ask one of the team members, Nicole Ho, some questions about how they felt about their outcome and what they can do next time to reach for the top!
“How well did the team do?”
“We placed third in the tournament overall. We won two games and lost another, which resulted in us playing for third place in our last game”
“What was done well and that you are proud of?”
“I think that the team played the four out offence well, and did a good job finding open space on the court and giving room to the ball handler.”
“What were some struggles along the way?”
“During practices, I feel like something we struggled with was boxing out. That’s why during one of our games in the tournament, the other team kept getting the rebound and putting the ball back up.”
The team quickly fixed mistakes and patched a few holes to prevail before the game on Wednesday. The Titans seem unfazed by anything and are looking strong as ever! With the little time the team has had together, the team has quickly conquered their weaknesses and polished their strengths to show they mean business. The Titans had a blowout 20-point win over Tommy Douglas S.S on Wednesday with the final score being a 40:20 making it seem like it was a cakewalk over their valiant opponents. Throughout the entire game, the Titans seemed in control of the game and had victory locked in on their sights the entire time!
