The school year has begun and many events are taking place! An all-time favourite for many students is the semi-formal. The semi-formal is a school dance, where all grades are invited to have a fun night filled with dancing and laughter outside of school. This year, the Semi-Formal theme is A Night at the Oscars. It will be held at the Royal Venetian in Aurora on January 30. The price for the event is $60 for students and $65 for guests. 

The Oscars is used to recognize those within the movie industry including actors/actresses and costume designers. The Oscars can also be associated with the colour gold, red and black. The perfect way to follow the theme this semi-formal is to find an outfit  that represents the Oscars and all its glory. Stay tuned to see pictures and a review of the event. See you there!
