This year, Matt 25 is hosting their annual Christmas drive in support of the Good Shepherd charities. Here, students and staff are requested to bring in a wide variety of food, clothing, and personal hygiene items to donate to the Good Shepherd Ministries. With the goal of providing those in the community with the various resources that are in demand during this holiday season, Matt 25 and the student body hope to collect necessary resources in time for Christmas, allowing members of our community to enjoy the winter with clothing and items to keep them warm. In this sense, by running this event in our school community, Matt 25 hopes to encourage the students of St. Augustine CHS to take selfless action while positively impacting the lives of the less fortunate in the face of the colder changes in weather. In the process, Matt 25 aspires to encourage the student body to get into the “spirit of generosity” this holiday season, all the while informing them of the social justice issues taking place closer to home.
