St. Augustine has a new club called the engineering club! One of the clubs motives are to compete in science fairs; they are currently trying to join a competition at the University of Toronto’s science fair that takes place in the spring of 2020. The engineering club is also currently in the process of planning to create fun activities such as making and racing GO karts! Students can soon become members of the club in late December or early January. The club is a good way to gain experience if you are interested in the sciences and engineering or if you just want to join a club that does fun hands-on activities and competes at engineering competition. The club is open to all grades and the club is planning on hosting meetings on Fridays in room 103. The two co-presidents of the club are Henry Chu and Jeffrey Arnaud in grade 11–two dedicated and inspired leaders–and the teacher in charge of the club is Ms. Davydovych! Sign-ups will be coming soon and there will be posters around the school and social media posts so make sure you’re on the lookout for updates if you’re interested!
