Every year, the Athletic Council hosts an Athletic Banquet to celebrate every sports team at St. Augustine and shine a spotlight on the athletes who make our school proud. In light of recent events, our school will not be able to host this event at school. This has not stopped the event from occurring; instead, the banquet will be modified so students can attend from the comfort of home. Here’s all you need to know about the Athletic Banquet of 2020.
The Banquet is affiliated with two other events. First are the Titans Hall of Fame Athlete Interviews that were released March 29 (check it out @wethetitans). Second is a school-wide vote for Team of the Year. Votes have been accepted between June 1 and June 5. Be sure to participate in these amazing opportunities!
On June 19, every member of the student body will get a link to the video through their k12 emails. The Titans Hall of Fame Virtual Athletic Banquet will feature all of the team awards for this year. Here, the council will give out the Team of the Year award and features on the Titan Athletes of the Month. They will even reveal the new school mascot.
This is a difficult time for every student at St. Augustine. The Athletic Banquet is a way for students to stay united in our interests and celebrate our athletes. Stay tuned for any updates on the event and follow the Athletic Council @wethetitans for more information.
