There’s always a good side to every bad situation; sometimes it’s just hard to find.
Ever since Covid-19 shut down the world, it seems like everything we were used to is gone. We’ve only been able to focus on the negative side of Covid, but there are two sides to every coin! Covid-19 is a game-changer, and we have to get used to it, but there is always going to be something good that comes out of it, no matter how big or small it may be.
Focusing on the positives of this situation can improve our mental health and overall mindset because it gives us a bigger picture to look at. For example, one good thing is that high school students are only doing two courses! This means that students will have more time to focus on their grades which in turn means that they’ll receive better marks.
Another thing, perhaps, is the fact that Covid helps families grow closer. After all, you’re mostly stuck inside with your family and there really isn’t any way you can avoid them since you’re living in the same house. Growing close to family is important because that way, you’ll always have people to support you in tough times.
Covid is also having a positive impact on the environment. The hole in the ozone layer has gotten smaller and fewer carbon emissions have been released into the atmosphere. This negative situation has led to a positive impact!
Then, there’s the fact that most people are going outside more often. Since you can’t go anywhere outside of Canada and flying commercial is a definite risk, most people choose to stay in the country. This means that people are getting out and walking around their neighbourhood for a bit of fresh air. After all, there’s only so much you can do at home.
So remember, there’s always a good side to every bad situation; sometimes it’s just hard to find. Stay positive, St. Augustine!
