The Animal Rights Committee is hosting a variety of events this year. Most of these events are being held virtually of course, because of our new normal.
One of these events include an online baking get together on December 16th, held to increase awareness and promote veganism and vegan options. Although a lot of events and plans are on pause or are slowing down, the rights of animals matter just as much as they did before the pandemic. In the baking event, a Google Meet is going to be held where members of the committee will be sharing a vegan cookie recipe and everyone will be baking together. Although we can’t actually get together this Christmas season, hopefully this event will give us a chance to socialize and get into the Christmas spirit! This will be held on the 16th of December so mark your calendars!
Make sure to follow the St. Augustine ARC on Instagram @animalrights.sta for more information on this event. How else can you support the animals during this time? Again, you can follow their Instagram page, because they are always posting new ways to help animals. For example, right now there is a link in the bio of their Instagram that leads you to ways that you can help turkeys from being eaten this Thanksgiving. The link is also here if you don’t want to go all the way to Instagram. The Animal Rights Committee will also be posting weekly informational posts about animals and a few fun facts, so you can look forward to seeing adorable critters on your feed!
