The Christmas Holidays are filled with love and the cozy feeling of being at home with your family. While there may be a lot of things we won’t be able to do this Christmas Break, there are still hundreds upon hundreds of wonderful Christmas movies to enjoy with your family. From long-time classics to new Hallmark films, we’ve comprised a list of some of the best Christmas movies that we recommend. Be sure to grab yourself a cup of hot chocolate and freshly baked Christmas cookies while you sit and enjoy these movies!

  1. Christmas with the Kranks (2004)
    The Kranks don’t plan to spend any money on their annual larger-than-life Christmas decorations this year and instead plan a calm relaxing getaway on a cruise. That is, until their daughter calls and lets them know that she’s visiting and they have to scour to get all of their Christmas spirit and decorations ready in time before her arrival. 
  1. Home alone (1990)
    Kevin McCallister is accidentally forgotten at home when his family leaves without him for their Christmas vacation. Things start to get interesting when two thieves become keen on robbing the McCallister, and Kevin comes with an interesting series of plans to mess with them. 
  1. Elf (2003)
    We all know this classic! Buddy the Elf accidentally ends up in the big city looking for his dad and struggles to fit in. This comedy is sure to make anyone laugh and have a good time!
  1. The Grinch (2018)
    The classic tale of a grinch with a heart three sizes too small which prevents him from celebrating Christmas with the citizens of Whoville. Spread the Christmas spirit with your family watching this animated adaptation!
  1. Arthurs Christmas (2011)
    We all know the classic story about Santa Claus delivering presents to children all over the world; what we don’t know is that Santa uses high-tech to complete his mission. With all of the elves and technology helping him, no one would have ever imagined that Santa would miss a child. It is up to Arthur to save Christmas and deliver the present traditionally.
  1. Love the Coopers (2015)
    Sam Cooper and his wife Charlotte host a wonderful Christmas celebration for their extended family. When each of their guests shares their problems, it unfolds into a  complete disaster. They also rediscover the importance of family during the Christmas season.
  1. The Princess Switch (2018)
    One week before Christmas, a duchess and an ordinary woman bump into each other on the sidewalk. They never meet before; however, they look exactly the same and use it as an opportunity to switch places, which leads to them falling in love with each other’s friend.
  1. Four Christmases (2008)
    Brad and Kate planned to spend their Christmas holidays in Fiji. However, when it gets cancelled due to inclement weather, they are forced to celebrate Christmas four times with each of their divorced parents. 
  1. Holiday in the Wild (2019)
    The recently divorced Kate embarks on a journey to spend a relaxing vacation in Africa but finds herself helping to rehabilitate injured elephants. She opens her eyes to a new perspective and redefines the true meaning of Christmas.
  1. Christmas Wonderland (2018)
    The generic Christmas romance of a successful city girl who returns to her small hometown for Christmas is the center of this movie. Heidi promises to watch her niece and nephew for a few days in her hometown, where she rediscovered her long lost love for her high school boyfriend and is faced with the choice between excelling in her career in New York City or following her heart.
