The daily flood of Google Classroom emails has found themselves accompanied by sprinkles of Yearbook Team emails these past few months. January and February of 2021 have been jam-packed with opportunities for students to contribute to their St. Augustine 2020-2021 multiverse-themed yearbook.
Here’s a rundown of the Yearbook Team’s initiatives so far:
Yearbook Cover Contest: Designed by Titans for Titans
The Yearbook Team’s Cover Contest ran from January 6th to February 16th, 2021. The Cover Contest called for students to create and submit their original front cover, back cover and spine designs for the chance to have their design featured on the 2020-2021 yearbook and to win a $25 Amazon gift card! Stay tuned for more about the contest and the winning design!
Student Portrait Photos: A not-so-typical photo day
From February 8th to 12th, 2021, instead of heading to the gymnasium to take portrait photos, students found themselves taking and uploading their portrait photos into the Yearbook Team’s digital dropbox website. Professional photographers swapped with a parent, guardian or sibling, studio lights replaced with a phone camera flash, and Nikon camera capabilities exchanged with phone camera portrait mode. This was definitely not the traditional photo day!
