On a sunny December afternoon after school, hundreds of students participated in President Council’s Virtual Game Night! This was held over multiple Google Meets on December 16th as students were able to play some online games and meet new people. Presented by SAC, a variety of clubs and councils were able to host their own meets and invite the entire student body to participate in their own games. Activities ranging from making gingerbread houses to trivia questions to Kahoots, many students were able to connect with others virtually and spread Christmas cheer.
Titan Times held our own Google Meet with our original game “Break the Fake.” We had students guess the fake headline from the choices and even let them create their own weird ones. Our game consisted of three parts: Guess which headline is real or fake, guess which Titan Times headline is real or fake, and create your own headline. Everyone had lots of fun as people dropped in and out of the call, allowing a variety of people to play our game. We were able to interact with new people and promote our club. Our amazing winners were all Grade 12s!
Congratulations to Jessica Li, Angela Liu, and Mason Wu!
We hope everyone enjoyed our game and we are very grateful for all participants! We look forward to holding more events like this in the future and spotting the fake headlines.
