The last game of the Senior Reach for the Top regional tournament was played on April 7, 2021. St. Augustine was pitted against TMS School, a tough rival. The game began with many tricky questions and categories and Round One ended in a 40-40 point tie. In the second round, TMS was quick with their buzzer and secured a lead. The third and final round was intense, with a nail-biting finish. A variety of categories about movies, polyatomic ions, cartoon dogs, the Boxer Rebellion and the HSBC made for a tight competition.

However, TMS was able to pull ahead and win with a score of 230 points, to St. A’s 200 points. This means that St. Augustine secured second place at the regional finals!

Good job to our Reach for the Top senior team, consisting of students:

Christovalanti Koukodimos, Thomas Dimitropoulos, Taran Dhoofar, Aidan Chin, Chloe Chan, Cassandra Kwong, Michelle Wong, Peter Katsavelos, Andy Li, Aytan Singh, Haywood Cheung, Tanmay Verma, Kate Dong, and Le Xi Chloe Liang.

A big thank you to the team mentors Ms. Christina Iorio and Mr. Albert Nazareth!

Our St. Augustine Senior Team will be competing in the Provincial Tournament on May 15 and 16, 2021. Congratulations and good luck!
