After many delays due to COVID, Black Widow will finally be released to theatres on July 9, 2021, and on Disney Plus with premiere access. This movie starring Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour will take place before the events of Avengers: Endgame. Fans will finally be able to look into Natasha’s backstory and see how she even got into S.H.I.E.L.D

By the end of the year, Marvel will be releasing two movies. Spider-Man No Way Home will be released in December, where Alfred Molina will reprise his role as Dr. Otto Octavius. As much as fans are excited for this movie, they are also sad that this is the last movie Tom Holland will be doing with Marvel. The actor who played Spider-Man since 2016 with his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War revealed that his contract is coming to an end. In a recent interview with GQ, Holland said that there are no talks of his contract being renewed, and his future remains unknown.

The second movie is Eternals, starring Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chen, Millie Bobby Brown, Kit Harington, and Richard Madden. The director is Chloe Zhao who recently received an Oscar, and is the second woman in history to win an Oscar for best director. The fandom is very excited to see this movie, or at least to catch a glimpse of it in the trailers.

Last but not least, Marvel released the first trailer of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings starring Simiu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Florian Munteanu, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen and Ronny Chieng. Marvel is introducing a new character to the franchise. Shang-Chi was originally an assassin for his father, but left the organization of the Ten Rings to lead a normal life. Hopefully audiences will get to see more of this character in future movies.
