As the winter season approaches, many families struggle to support their families and bring enough food to the table. As a privileged community, at St. Augustine, it is important to acknowledge what we are fortunate to have and give back what we can.
This is why Matt 25 — St. A’s social justice committee — has decided to host Titans Scare Hunger this year in time for Halloween. This event is running from October 25th to November 12th — meaning if you haven’t already donated, it’s time to bring in your non-perishable goods. This includes dry pasta, canned food, and/or boxes of tea, which will all be donated to the Good Shepherd.
Matt 25 asks that all students bring their donations to their first period, homeroom classes during Week 1. If you have donations during Week 2, continue to bring them to your homeroom class from Week 1.
With the goal of helping families in need, this is an excellent opportunity to give back to the community!
