Calling all Titans! The grade 12 students of Ms. Giannantonio’s Business Management class have partnered with the Good Shepherd Ministries to organize a fundraiser. They are asking students of St. Augustine CHS to donate male or unisex pants for adults, newly bought socks, toiletries such as toothpaste, and monetary donations.
This drive is important as it supports people living in poverty, which can be especially difficult during harsh Canadian winters. With the help of the Good Shepherd, people in need around the GTA area can get back on their feet, and more importantly, gain a sense of hope: hope for the present, hope for the future and hope that life is more than suffering.
“Giving is a gesture of generosity and goodwill, and while no one is required to do so, it demonstrates gratitude to the community and appreciation for what they have. A donation as small as a pair of clean socks can make a big difference to someone’s life, acknowledging there are people in the world who genuinely care about them.”

Though winter brings many joys, we must remember that suffering does not take a vacation. So take the time to give a helping hand, and care for those who are less fortunate – ‘tis the season of giving, of course!
