What is the Difference Between Covid-19 and the flu?
The pandemic has been significantly affecting all Canadians since early 2020. Now that the weather is getting colder as we enter winter, the flu virus season is just around the corner. Flu season starts typically around late fall and lasts all the way until mid to late spring. The flu virus tends to attack a person’s respiratory system, often affecting the nose, throat, and lungs. This year has been an extraordinary year as the pandemic is also a problem accompanying the flu. However, there are numerous ways for you to protect yourself this flu season including dressing appropriately for the weather, drinking more water, distancing yourself from sick individuals, washing your hands with soap, and if you’re sick, staying home. Each year, the flu virus grows stronger and your best way to defend yourself is to practice safety measures to keep you and others safe. So this year, remember to keep in mind what you do and your healthy habits to stay safe this flu season.
