As Valentine’s Day quickly approaches, here are some gift ideas that vary in size, effort, and meaning that you can gift your significant other or yourself: 

  1. DIY Painting Lounge- for the creatives 

Enjoy quality time with your significant other and make memories that will last longer then any monetary gift. For this gift you will need paint, canvases, a snack you both enjoy and each other. Set up two different painting stations and paint something you believe represents your significant other; and vice versa. At the end, both individuals can exchange the paintings and will have spent quality time together.  

  1. Gift an Experience – for the adventurers 

Take your partner on a personalised experience you know they will cherish. If they are foodies, take them to a new restaurant they have been dying to try. If they love art, take them to a new art exhibit in the area. If they have been lacking self-care, set up a spa day catered to them. Organising a custom experience for your significant other shows attention to detail and thoughtfulness, making them feel special on this special day. 

  1. Photo Album – for the sincere 

Compile all of the photos you and your partner have taken throughout the duration of your relationship and simply paste them into a photo album. This can be done digitally or as a physical copy as well. You can make free digital collages here. So much can be done to make this unique for your significant other, as you can organise the photos a specific way, choose specific colours or even include memorable tokens like tickets and cards. To take it a step further, include your partner’s favourite snacks and a plant in with the photo album. 

4. Balloons – for the quarantined couple 

Since there is still the Covid-19 pandemic, it is possible you and your significant other are quarantined apart this year. A solution to this is ordering your partner a poppable balloon straight to their door.
