Hello Titans! 

As we start a new month, we are also starting to get in the mood for more reading. Here are some great books to check out for the month of April. 

  1. The Beautiful and Damned 

As the writer of the infamous ‘The Great Gatsby’, F. Scot Fitzgerald is certainly a talented author. Published in 1922 this popular novel follows the story of  socialite Anthony Patch and his young and gorgeous wife Gloria who are both rich, leisurely, and dedicated in the reckless pursuit of life’s happiness. This fascinating novel explores the ideas of money, decadence, and the complex morality in love. 

  1. Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus 

As a new release, Lessons in Chemistry is gaining much attention. Following Elizabeth Zott, a scientist whose male dominated career takes a detour when she becomes the star of a beloved TV cooking show. This story follows Elizabeth’s journey and struggle as she navigates through the fight of equality. 

  1. Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown 

Following the intresting adventure of Robert langdon and Sophie Neveu after a murder in the Louvre Museum in Paris the Da Vinci Code is definitely not something to overlook. The pair somehow end up searching to uncover and become involved in a battle between the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei over the possibility of Jewus Christ and Mary Magdalene having had a child together. 

  1. Bridgerton by Julia Quinn

If you have ever watched the now popular Netflix series, Bridgerton, you should know that they are based off of a series of novels! Like the t.v. show, each book follows a different Bridgerton sibling and their endless desire to find true love. 

  1. The Mountain is You by Brianna West 

Ending off this list with a non-fiction novel, the Mountain is You explore the underlying problems that cause self-sabotage, showing how to overcome it. By understanding how the mind and body react to change, you can strategically take hold of your own happiness. This book has gotten many reviews with positive results, so it is definitely worth a look if school is getting you down!
