As many long weekends approach throughout the spring and summer seasons, here are 3 activities that you can do with friends, family or even on your own.
- Fruit Picking
As the beautiful weather finally returns to Ontario, so does fresh fruit. Farms such as Downey’s Farms or Robintide Farms have a wide variety of both fruits and vegetables that you can hand-pick this year. It is a great way to get outside and experience a new atmosphere.
- Have a Picnic
With a group of people or by yourself, you can make a day out of going on a picnic. First go to the store to pick up or make your favourite snacks, drinks and a blanket to lay on the grass. Then bring some books, a board game or a ball for entertainment while you are there. For some added excitement you and your friends and family can agree upon a theme for the picnic that you all can participate in. Some theme ideas can include only bright-coloured foods or matching your clothes to the food item you bring.
- Bullet Journal
A calming activity you can do on your own is bullet journaling. With bullet journaling, all you need is a blank notebook and the rest is up to your imagination. You can customize it in any way you like by adding personalized spreads and trackers. Pinterest is a great place to explore a variety of different themes and possibilities that you can add to your bullet journal. For some company, invite a friend to bullet journal with you.
