Some people may be very bored during the weekends and may be wondering what they can be doing during this spring season. Especially this weekend since the weather is going to be very nice. One thing that is perfect to see this spring are the cherry blossoms. However, if you are planning to go see them, you may want to go as soon as you can while they last, as they won’t be here for long! 

Cherry blossoms, also known as the Sakura, are light pink/white-coloured flowers that bloom on the Sakura tree. Cherry blossoms can be grown in many areas including Canada. They are known as the national tree for Japan and the tree is very popular among tourists thanks to their bright-pink colour. 

They usually start their blooming period for around 2 weeks and this begins around mid-April to early May. Peak season will start ending around a week after peak season as the flowers will start falling off by then. If you want to see many of the cherry blossoms blooming, the usual peak-time for these trees is around late April to early May where there will be an abundance of cherry blossoms. 

Some popular areas for cherry blossom sightings are High Park, Centennial Park, Toronto Island Park, or Trinity Bellwoods Park. You can go check them out since they won’t be here for long so you can go while the weather is nice and snap a few shots of these light-pink blossoms while you can!
