Elections are coming up much sooner than you think! Election day is on June 2, 2022, this year which is not too long from now! Advance polls are now open and are going to be open until May 28, 2022! This year, some ways for you to vote include voting by mail, voting with your ID, or going in person to vote in select locations near your area! If you would like to vote by mail, your deadline to apply to vote is by May 27, 2022, at 6 PM Eastern Time. If you are voting in person, there are some safety protocols listed on the elections website. Face masks and proof of vaccination will not be required according to the website but you will not be able to go vote in your location if you are sick or experiencing Covid-19 symptoms. However, they are offering the opportunity to do curbside voting. To register to vote, you can add your information to the voter’s list until May 23, 2022, and you will be mailed a voter’s information card. Those who are under 18 and are interested in getting involved with elections can now participate and work for Ontario Elections! If you are 16 years and older, Elections Ontario is allowing you to work for them during the election! Please look at this link for more information if you are interested in applying for a job! Canada has always had the privilege of being able to let its citizens vote so this year, make it your responsibility to go vote for the party you want to represent your province of Ontario!
