Do you want to have fun this summer, but don’t know where to go? Make your summer fun this year by adventuring around Ontario! You will be guaranteed to have tons of fun at these locations with friends and family!
- Fruit Picking
There’s nothing better than enjoying a fresh, sweet and healthy treat on a hot summer day! There are many farms in Niagara Falls where you can go fruit picking, such as peach picking in Niagara Falls, or berry and vegetable Barrie Hill Farms and Brooks Farms, where you can pick and collect some delicious fruit to enjoy!
Visiting some beautiful sunflowers this summer are sure to perk up your mood (and get you some great photos for Instagram!) Not only can you visit the sunflowers, but you can also pick up raw honey, visit the chickens and even stay for a farm to table meal.
Ontario has many beautiful beaches for you to visit this summer with your friends and family. Wasaga Beach, which is along the South Georgian Bay shoreline, stretches over 14 kilometers making it the longest freshwater beach in the world! Woodbine beach is another beautiful beach at The Beaches, Toronto. This beach is great for not only swimming but afternoon walks, leading to one of Toronto’s best parks.
Go to a Drive-in Movie! Mark something off you bucket list this summer and go to a drive-in movie theater. You can bring your car and take the opportunity to watch some new movies at The 5 Drive-in Theater, in Oakville. Cozy up in your car with friends and family and while you’re at it, you can enjoy some funnel cake or a chili cheese dog!
Enjoy the fun activity of mini golfing this summer. You can golf at Putting Edge in Scarborough, for only $14/person. Not only is there an arcade for additional fun, but the mini golfing course is glow-in-the-dark!
The best part about these 5 activities is that they are nearby and can be a fun day trip! Be sure to try some with friends and family this summer!
