For many soccer fans, November and December are going to be very special months thanks to the FIFA World Cup. This year, it will be played from November 20, 2022 to December 18, 2022. This 22nd FIFA edition will be different this year, as it will be played for the first time in the Middle East.
On April 1, 2022, teams were chosen from Doha, Qatar and the final 3 qualifications were completed in June. Places include Costa Rica, Australia, and Wales respectively and they filled the 32 team lineup. There are 8 groups in total competing this year and each group has 4 teams. Canada has made it into Group F.
All groups will be competing from November 20 to December 2, 2022, and teams will start playing the second and final stage of the World Cup starting on December 3-6. Quarter finals will then be played from December 9 and 10 and the 13th and 14th will be days reserved for the semifinals. December 17, 2022, will be the playoffs for the remaining teams before the final game on December 18, 2022. There will be 8 stadiums for the games and some stadiums include Khalifa International Stadium and Education City Stadium.
Last minute ticket sales are also still available and will be ending on December 18, 2022, but it is advised that soccer fans buy these tickets as soon as possible as they do sell out quickly. However, if you do not plan on watching the World Cup in person, you could always catch up and watch the game on sports television networks like TSN. It will be the sixth FIFA game in the world this year, so don’t forget to check it out and enjoy the game!
