4. Neighbourhood Snow Shoveling

With winter coming up, some residents might need snow removal assistance. You can offer to shovel your neighbors driveways in exchange for volunteer hours. It’s a great way to stay active through the winter months and enjoy the winter fresh air. What could be a better way to spend your time by helping others?

Snow Angels Canada is an online platform where residents that need help with snow shoveling can request for service and volunteers in the area can reach out and help. Snow shoveling for people in need of it can be counted towards your community involvement hours as long as you are unpaid for the work you do.

To register as a volunteer to help your neighbours in need visit https://snowangelscanada.ca/

Keep in mind that volunteering is not just about fulfilling your 40 hours graduation requirement. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and learn new skills. Doing good things for others and your community can be rewarding and give you a sense of accomplishment.
