On behalf of St. Augustine’s Athletic Council, we want to extend our thanks to all St. Augustine teachers, students, and staff for their continued generosity and support toward the cause, as well as the many families and friends who also donated. Not only did we raise awareness but fundraise an impressive amount to a meaningful cause. We’re excited to try and exceed our goal next year!

Lauren Daunt- President of St. Augustine’s Athletic Council

On October 4th 2022, St. Augustine’s Athletic Council hosted our school community’s annual Terry Fox run. The Athletic Council (AC) organized the event and recruited St. Augustine’s many clubs, councils and committees to run checkpoints representing places that Terry Fox stopped on his Marathon of Hope. To go along with the run, AC set a goal of raising $10,000 as a school to go towards cancer research through online and in person donations. As an incentive to donate money, our generous custodial staff volunteered to let the homeroom class who raised the most money shave their heads. Our school came together and surpassed that goal raising $11,045.30! All proceeds from the event were donated to the Terry Fox Foundation towards Canadian Cancer Research.
