While many of us are fortunate enough to have warm coats and clothing in the winter, many others do not. Did you know that in Canada, nearly 1.3 million children live in poverty, resulting in a lack of food, shelter, and basic needs? As we enter into the winter season, this problem is magnified as many do not have the proper clothing to protect themselves from harsh temperatures. To help with this issue, Matt 25 is organizing a Coats for Kids event to bring warmth and joy to a community in need.

The purpose is to collect as many gently used jackets for kids and teens as we can, from students and teachers of St. Augustine. This event will be running from November 28 to December 9 so make sure to bring your donations to the chapel soon!

Also, don’t forget to visit the foyer after the event as Matt 25 will also be creating a coat Christmas tree with all the donations to show both the holiday spirit and how our St. A community has contributed to the cause. Be the Change Titans!
