How can you tell when April is happy? There’s a spring in its step! Ha-ha! Ha. Ha.

The notorious first day of the month has passed a few days ago, signaling new seasonal beginnings but never an end for laughter and wacky pranks. Here’s a recollection of the best April Fools pranks (already done or suggested) of 2023!

  1. Frozen Breakfast

On the night before April 1st, fill up a bowl with cereal and milk, and then submerge a spoon halfway. Place it in the freezer overnight then serve it to your victim in the morning. They’ll frantically try to get the spoon out to eat their breakfast!

  1. The Typing Dots GIF

This is a joke that you can play on your friends virtually, but make sure they’re patient! Begin a friendly texting conversation with one or more of your friends, then halfway send them the typing dots GIF. It seems like the regular pending icon when there’s an incoming text, but not quite!

  1. Spider and Cockroach Silhouettes

Outline and cut out the silhouette of a spider or cockroach from a black piece of paper, and put them in the inside of a lampshade. When the unsuspecting victim comes to turn on the light, there will be a giant creature waiting to get them!

  1. Change the Clocks

Move your clocks forward an hour. Let’s say your sibling’s alarm goes off…well, guess they’re late! You can also do this with the date display on their phones as well.

  1. Balloon Pillow

Carefully replace your family member or friend’s pillow on April Fools Eve with a bunch of balloons. When they lie down, they will notice that their pillow will be moving all over the place and possibly floating!

  1. Emptied Drawers

This works best with either their clothes or the kitchen utensils. Empty these drawers, and then leave the house or pick a good hiding spot. You won’t be there when they notice, and stir up even more confusion!
