Ever since coming to St. Augustine, you may ask: why am I here? What is my purpose in life as a high school student? Well, that answer may be vague and complicated. Let’s break it down into the foundations.
As a student you should be preparing for your future. There will be many situations where your decisions will shape you into the person you are meant to be. Everything is preparing for what the future has in-storee for you. It is your job and responsibility to live up to that future version of yourself. You are constantly improving yourself in all areas of your life. As students, we are all here to learn.
Many students may be confused with the amount of responsibility they have and the effort they will need to put in. Students are required to be the very best they can; this includes finding time to study, reading and finishing assignments. You should become aware of how you place yourself in the social environment. For example, the school. Students need to respect and learn from others while also trying to help others. It takes total dedication and commitment to fully understand what it is to be a true student. You always have to be on the verge of accomplishment and to reach your goals even after countless failures.
Take a second to understand the roles of a student. According to research, only 20% of people have a full understanding of what their roles in life are. Without this understanding you will have no ambition and are lost in a world of time and matter.
So what is your purpose in life really? Well to fully answer this question you will have to find the meaning of life by yourself. The true meaning of life is doing what fulfills you as a student and living for your own purpose. You see, everybody is chasing their own personal meaning. You need to understand what life gave you and what you want to give back to life. When you finally understand what defines you as a student at St. Augustine, you will find happiness, motivation and resilience. Finally, it is essential to find your true purpose in life for a life of happiness and fulfillment.
