Travis Kelce. Legendary NFL tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and the golden child of America. Taylor Swift. Brilliantly acclaimed pop artists with numerous Grammy’s and a litany of record breaking hits. Two industry giants crossing paths in a star crossed love affair.  Travis has recently fallen victim to the provocative escapades of Hollywood dating; drawn in by Taylor Swift’s serenading voice. Their love story (Taylor’s Version) begins in the late stages of august,  when their innocent flirtations are caught in a passionate fire, with sparks flying. 

As a not-so-private Swift and football fan, the amalgamation of these two worlds is thrilling for me. Now the question is, who’s career is being affected by this? According to CBS’s broadcast crew Travis Kelce carries a meager 45.5 yards per game when ‘left to his own devices’, however with Taylor up in the stands his averages rise to a tremendous 99.0! A stat that could incite a debate between football fans and Swifties. Now this statistic could be pure luck, a fluke, or maybe even an act of nature. Needless to say, Taylor has a large impact on the team environment, and energy. Maybe the Chiefs should consider letting her strap on the pads for a game? 

Speaking of Taylor, she has also recently released a new rendition of one of her earlier albums, 1989. Relative to the rest of her discography, some fans view her new album as an inadequate interpretation of a cheap synth-pop 80s record. Now I’m not sure if her new album was a mistake, or maybe she’s whole heartedly distracted by the hunk of the man that Travis Kelce is. You know I would be as well Taylor. The question remains, will this relationship bloom into something bigger? Or will Taylor end up just remembering this all too well.
