The city of Markham is set to celebrate a significant milestone as it prepares for its 50th Annual Santa Claus Parade. This beloved holiday tradition will take place on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, bringing festive cheer to residents and visitors alike. The parade, organized in partnership with the Rotary Club of Markham, has become a cornerstone of the community’s holiday celebrations.
As in previous years, the event promises to be a spectacular display of holiday spirit, featuring over 100 floats, marching bands, and cultural groups. The procession will go north along Main Street, starting from Highway 7 and concluding at the Markham Museum on 16th Avenue. Spectators can expect to see a diverse array of participants, including local businesses, community organizations, and of course, the show’s star, Santa Claus himself. The Markham Santa Claus Parade lasts for approximately two hours, taking place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This year’s parade marks half a century of bringing joy to the Markham community. From its humble beginnings to becoming one of the region’s most anticipated events, the parade has grown alongside the city itself.
