On March 18, 2025, hundreds of high school students from across the Archdiocese gathered for a life-changing experience at the annual Ordinandi Youth Event, held at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton. This year’s event is by far one of the most powerful yet, inspiring many young people to reflect on their purpose, their faith, and the path God may be calling them to follow.
The event, supported by the Archdiocese of Toronto, brought together students, teachers, priests, and soon-to-be-ordained seminarians—known as the “Ordinandi”—for a day of prayer, reflection, and deep conversation about vocation. Whether it’s the call to priesthood, religious life, marriage, or single life, the day encouraged everyone to ask an important question: What is God calling me to do with my life?
Throughout the event, students heard moving testimonies from this year’s Ordinandi—men and women who shared their personal journeys of faith, struggle, and trust in God. Many students were touched by how real and honest the stories were, with some even moved to tears. The seminarians spoke about their doubts, the pressures they faced from society, and how they ultimately found peace in following their calling.
One student shared, “It made me think about my own life in a different way. I never really thought deeply about having a vocation, but hearing their stories opened my heart. It felt like God was speaking to me in that moment.”
The Ordinandi Youth Event 2025 reminded everyone that vocation isn’t just about becoming a priest or a nun—it’s about listening to God’s voice and having the courage to follow it. For many who attended, it was a spark that lit something deep inside. A reminder that faith is alive, that God still speaks, and that our lives have meaning and direction.
Alongside the testimonies, the event included music, prayer, and even some time for small group reflection. These moments allowed students to connect more personally with the message and with one another. Some participants said they found courage to speak about their own dreams and fears—conversations that don’t usually happen in day-to-day school life.
As students return to their regular routines, the question still echoes in their hearts: What is God calling me to do?
