Valentine’s Day undoubtedly takes the award for “Cheesiest Day on Earth.” So of course, it is only appropriate that there are cheesy activities to accompany this special day. If you’re feeling uninspired, you’re in luck because this article outlines five budget-friendly things you can do with your significant other or your friends to make this Valentine’s Day one you’ll never forget!
5. Romantic Movie Marathon
Basic, but still so fun! Snuggle up under some blankets, make a batch of popcorn, and laugh or cry at the same time to some romantic classics.
Romantic Movie Bucket List (in my opinion):
- Clueless (1995)
- 10 Reason I Hate About You (1999)
- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)
- Life As We Know It (2010)
- Love, Rosie (2014)
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018)
4. Game Night

Games are a fun way to rekindle passion and strengthen bonds. To add a twist, make a wager like having to do the dishes or give a back rub! If you don’t own any board games, try DIY Twister using some coloured paper and tape or a card game like Speed.

3. Paint Together
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the skills of Picasso or Da Vinci. In fact, the worse the better, maybe even use blindfolds. Have a friendly competition and if it evolves into an epic paint fight, at least some wonderful memories will be made.
2. Valentine’s Day Baking
What’s better than making heart-shaped cookies or pink cupcakes with your loved ones? Not much! Don’t go baking hearts, bake cookies instead! Here are some recipes to help get you started:
1. DIY Spa Day

Stage the perfect evening with some fresh towels, drugstore or even homemade facial masks, candles, sugar scrubs, cucumbers, and top it all off with some relaxing music.
