Get excited because winter break is just around the corner. This means school will be on pause, and the time for relaxation and rejuvenation is here. 

Here are 5 ways you can take some well deserved time to refresh and recharge over the holidays. 

  1. Sleep

There is nothing better than being able to sleep in as late as you want. Use this time to catch up from the sleep you missed on those late nights of studying. 

  1. Get in the Kitchen

The holiday seasons are here, which means it is the perfect time to make gingerbread cookies and drink hot chocolate. Even if you are not great in the kitchen, baking can still be fun and relaxing. Share and indulge your home-made, delicious goods with friends, family, and yourself!

  1. Spend time with a pet

Experience feel-good hormones and enjoyable interactions through petting, talking, and playing with furry friends. If you don’t own a pet, consider visiting a friend who has one.

  1. Have a Movie Marathon

Imagine lying on the sofa, eating buttery popcorn, and watching six hours of Netflix snuggled under a fuzzy blanket. Being able to do something unproductive for the day will relieve your worries and give you that well deserved rest.

  1. Sing or Dance

Put on your favourite Taylor Swift song and get to dancing. Sing your worries away and move your body to the rhythm!
