This year, Muskoka Woods took place from September 19th -21st. This fun filled event was enjoyed by Grade 9’s and Muskoka leaders alike! The leaders were passionate gr 11’s and 12’s who dedicated many days training and preparing for the three day event. Here is what one Muskoka Leader, Brittany L, had to say about her experience:

Q: What did you enjoy most about your job?

A: Being able to spread positive energy with the new grade nines in order to help them gain confidence in our school for the future years at St. Augustine.

Q: As a leader, did you make new friends or get closer to people you previously knew?

A: Yes, I definitely got a chance to make new friends with people in different grades, especially people that I have not seen before in our school.

Q: What was the most challenging part of your job?

A: Having the courage to lead the students to different locations at Muskoka, as it was my first year being a Muskoka Woods Leader.

Q: Would you encourage other students to apply as leaders for Muskoka Woods 2017?

A: I definitely would recommend everyone who has the chance to become a leader for Muskoka because it is such an amazing experience like no other. The three day trip allows you to not only bond with the people in your grade, but everyone else as well. The team building activities and late night chats will bring out the best energy and excitement within you and will create everlasting memories once you leave St. Augustine.
