Welcome to camp Muskoka, where friendships are formed, new are skills learned, and memories are made. These are the reasons why this year, the grade nine students of St. Augustine CHS travelled into the woods for an exciting orientation trip. With various activities and time to enjoy with friends, there was not a single dull moment during the span of the three day expedition.
Students were able to participate in a variety of events, such as rock climbing, daring high rope courses, spikeball, mountain biking, and longboarding. Being able to sail through the air on a zip line or bounce back and forth on the big swing also gave students a chance to take their camping experiences to new heights.
This is not to say, however, that all of the action took place during the day. Lively night events organized by dedicated staff and student leaders won over many participants with their originality and creativity. These energetic events, accompanied by musical campfires, truly made each night at Muskoka a magical experience.
Certainly, with all of the incredible activities here, it is easy to say that this eventful trip will leave precious memories. Indeed, there is no better way to start our first high school year than to fill it in the first month with laughter, smiles, and fun. A special thanks to all of the patient student leaders and dedicated staff who helped to make our latest outing the greatest one yet for all ninth graders.
